Jasmine Smith, PLPC
Under supervision of Denitra Beasley, LPC-S
I believe healing happens when people feel safe, heard, and supported emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. As a therapist, my goal is to walk alongside you with compassion, structure, and care as you navigate life’s challenges.
My professional background includes work in education, behavioral health services, crisis intervention, and community leadership. I’ve served as a 5th-grade math and science teacher, a behavioral services support supervisor, and a patrol officer. These experiences have shaped how I understand behavior, stress, trauma, family dynamics, and emotional regulation especially in children, adolescents, and families.
I work with individuals and families navigating grief, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship conflict, and life transitions. My approach to counseling is person-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed. I use evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, emotional regulation skills, and practical coping tools to help clients feel more grounded, confident, and equipped in their daily lives.
For clients who desire it, I also offer faith-integrated counseling. I thoughtfully incorporate biblical principles, prayer, and faith-based encouragement in a way that is respectful, client-led, and aligned with clinical best practices. Faith is never forced. It is simply available as a source of support and meaning when it matters to you.
I am especially passionate about supporting children and families, helping them build resilience, strengthen communication, establish healthy boundaries, and restore a sense of self-worth and stability. I believe healing is most effective when clients feel empowered and supported every step of the way.
My mission is to create a supportive and welcoming space where you can grow, heal, and experience lasting transformation emotionally and spiritually.
